Prowalker quality downgrade
I have been buying a pair of white Rockport Prowalkers for ten or twelve years and have remained loyal to the brand because of the excellent wear they gave me and their superb comfort. Something has changed recently in this series of shoes. The leather is much stiffer and the shoes are just not as comfortable. They still give good arch support and the assembly quality seems okay, but only time will tell how they hold up to daily use. I hope Rockport returns to their high standards of manufacturing in the future. I'll probably look for something else when it's time to replace these. The color white is more like an ivory color now. Before they were pure white.

Accept No Substitute
About 10 years ago my feet started to complain due to irritated nerves (people with diabetes understand); orthotics helped; sneakers helped too but I needed dressier shoes too. These shoes, in black, did the trick. I've tried many others, with some success, but these shoes win the prize. I buy 3 pairs at a time and rotate them - the older pairs for casual/rough wear and the newest pair goes into the courtroom (lawyers are people too, mostly). If I ever hear they are being discontinued, I may rent storage space so I can buy out the stock in my size. I own 1 pair of dressy shoes that I can wear 2 or 3 hours; but for 15 hour days, there is no substitute. Like white shirts, these shoes simplify shopping and wardrobe selection.

Rockport ProWalker
The service for this was fine. No complaints. However, the shoe itself is another thing. First, I chose white. When it arrived, it was an off-white. My husband was willing to live with that. But then, after wearing the shoes a couple of times, he said they were extremely uncomfortable. We have purchased Rockport ProWalkers in the past & loved them. This was quite a disappointment.

Outstanding!
These shoes are great! Plenty of support, excellent sole protection, plenty of room in the toebox, extremely comfortable, and very rugged. The only downside is that the soles are not very grippy on ice.

Overall, I think these make outstanding walking or light hiking shoes, and are comfortable enough to wear all day for any activity.

Good Shoes
Really good shoes. I have to wear thick custom insoles and require a shoe with a big toe box so that my feet aren't crowded. You can't tell from the picture but this shoe (in EEE)) has got plenty of room.
In my work, I am on my feet more than eight hours a day with only a few minutes to sit down. I've owned other New Balance shoes that were as comfortable but none that were more so. I highly recommend them.

Walking Shoe
I am on my feet all day on concrete surfaces, so I was looking for a shoe that would cushion the impact. This shoe is well made, more like a lite weight boot to me, the upper is stiff out of the box, but will soften after use. The sole has provided the comfort I was looking for, my feet are no longer fatigued and aching after wearing them all day long

Just What My Feet Need!
I have been buying these New Balance shoes for about 4 years and won't even consider buying a different shoe. After being diagnosed with plantar fascitis by my podiatrist years ago, I learned that good shoes are a must have. These shoes are very comfortable and give my foot all the support it needs. Another thing that is important about this shoe is the rollbar which controls pronation.

The best tennis shoe ever
New Balance is the best Tennis shoe I've ever worn. And, it is the 800 series that I've been wearing for the last nine years. It's the only tennis shoe I can wear where my toes don't cramp and cross causing me much pain. I used to do a lot of 10K walks and ended up having a problem with my feet. Someone told me about these and so I bought them. From the moment I put them on and put my orthodics inside, I felt a huge relief. These are the only ones I can wear. They are a bit pricey but comfortable.

exactly what I needed
I researched the style shoe and this shoe lived up to exactly what it promised. An unexpected positive thing is the tongue of the shoe is anchored on each side with elastic. That keeps it from sliding to one side or the other while walking. They looked smaller than my other shoes when I got them, but they are exactly the same size. With feet as big as mine, I need all the optical illusions I can get. I get a lot of compliments on them.
